1998: Le rêve du football
As a complete nobody, Dave approaches FIFA in 1997 with nothing but a painting and an unusual plan. FIFA director Walter Gagg likes the idea and offers his support for the project, allowing Dave to proceed... An artistic career begins.
"Le rêve du football" is one of Dave's few two-dimensional paintings – his unique three-dimensional style of today, fusionism, was only developed during the year 1999.
2002: The Magic of Football
The world cup work of 2002 remains one of the most complex works existing in fusionism. The creation process, originally scheduled to last three months, turned into a creative battle of twenty months. The effort turns out to have been worthwhile – the work is signed on location in Japan by both finalist teams in the world cup.
The face of FIFA president Sepp Blatter can only be seen from a distance of more than 25 meters.
2006: The Road to Berlin
The first fusion of painting, sculpture and film: The football that can be seen on one side of the artwork is used as a projection surface during exhibitions.
2010: Reaching for the stars
Another first: Unlike its predecessors, this work was created not before, but during the world cup. This made it possible to include impressions of the actual events during the competition.

FIFA
Dave's artistic roots are found in football: Working with FIFA, he created works of art for the world cups of 1998, 2002 and 2006, to be signed by the players of both finalist teams just before the final. In this way, he has not only created three highly impressive works of art, but also three significant artefacts of sports history.
All three works – with the value of each estimated to be in the height of millions – will be auctioned off at a later date. The lion share of the proceeds will go to humanitarian projects.
The proceeds from the 1998 work will go to "SOS Children's Villages", the proceeds for 2002 to UNICEF.
